“A feeling of self-assurance arising from one’s appreciation of one’s own abilities or qualities.”
We all get a little beat down sometimes. Things get overwhelming, that’s when we really have to dig deep and remind ourselves of the positives in our lives.
I came across that picture today while attempting to work on a fairly high-profile project with the team.
My original thoughts on this project were “This is a lot… how am I going to facilitate 3 events back-to-back-to-back with up to 60 different attendees each night? From a different state. With people I haven’t worked with in over a year”.
That picture reminded me, I’ve done this already. No Problem.
It’s easy to meet a challenge and to just back down from it. Say “no, that’s too hard” and clam up. OR it could be your opportunity to step up to the plate and swing for the fence. Take a look at the project in front of you and start pulling from previous experience.
Large Scale event from 2015– 10 months new into the industry and territory, how do you get people to show up? Break it into digestible pieces. End result? 200 attendees.
2017 Event, new state/territory, 6 months into the new place. Search for previous event’s lists and build from there. End result? Chairman of company shows up, 180 attendees.
I got this.
So whatever you’re facing today… Take a breath, step away for a minute, and then come back to it & get down to business. Pull from the experiences you’ve already had – don’t try to reinvent the wheel, you’ve already got the foundation.
